About Megisti
At 42 ft long and 22 ft wide, this luxury Leopard catamaran comfortably accommodates 20 guests + crew. Our yacht has 2 double cabins, with an ensuite located in each, for guests to use. We have 2 electric macerator toilets—simple to operate, provided NO FOREIGN OBJECTS ARE FLUSHED!
There is indoor and outdoor heating available onboard but we still recommend bringing an extra layer and a woolly hat! We have also installed a 3 zone surround sound music system which connects via bluetooth and each zone can play at different volumes.

The owner and skipper, Tim, sailed this yacht from the Caribbean to New Zealand in 2007. After three months at sea, the yacht passed the Maritime NZ survey with flying colours and received a clean, well-deserved inspection report. Megisti began her New Zealand chartering life in Lyttelton Harbour, Christchurch. For the first four years she spent summers chartering in the Abel Tasman and returned to Lyttelton for the winters. After the Christchurch earthquake, we moved to Wellington, where Megisti has been docked ever since. She has now operated on Wellington Harbour for nearly 15 years under our highly skilled and knowledgeable skipper.
At the end of 2023 we said goodbye to our beloved Dalmatian, Sheik — a familiar face on our website and a Wellington icon. To bring some comfort back to the waterfront, we welcomed a new four-legged 2nd Mate to the Megisti family: Bruno! Nearly three years old, this toothy-smiled Dalmatian loves meeting guests as they board. He lives onboard full time, and for guests with allergies or apprehensions he is happy to be settled in his own cabin upon request.
